Mysteries of the Terracotta Warriors launches on Netflix

'Mysteries of the Terracotta Warriors' Lion's latest premium archaeology feature documentary for Netflix has launched on the platform.

When the Terracotta Warriors were discovered 50 years ago they were described as the '8th Wonder of the World'.  Half a century later they are still being excavated.  With the greatest access ever granted an international production, Lion charts the on-going excavations at the First Emperor's mausoleum and a remarkable new tomb discovery which could contain the body of  Emperor Qin's son.

Over two years in the making, Director James Tovell (Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb) and Producer Nicholas Kertesz explore the mystery of why the warriors disappeared from history for 2000 years and reveal the story of how the Qin Dynasty collapsed barely a decade after the First Emperor's death. The story is told through the eyes of the Chinese archaeologists excavating the treasures at the site.  Director of Photography is Zheng Yi and co-producer Ellen Xu. The film is narrated by Jing Lusi (Crazy Rich Asians/Red Eye). Executive Producer for Lion is Richard Bradley.
